We Are Going To The FAIR!
Dear Parents,
It’s true! Spirit Lake third graders are going to the Clay County Fair on Tuesday, September 10. Buses will depart from the elementary school at 8:15 AM and return by 3:10 PM. Students DO NOT need to bring their own sack lunch and drink. The school will make sack lunches for the kids and parents attending the trip. The kids will use a “lunch punch” for this meal prepared by our school cooks. We will eat our sack lunches at the 4-H Ag-Learning Center at the fair, and then continue our “barn walk-about tour” of the barns, machinery, and ag-related exhibits. Students will walk around with their chaperone and see some shows or other exciting things at the fair. Please have your child dress appropriately for the day and wear comfortable shoes. Money is not necessary and shouldn’t be brought on the trip. Students will be able to return to the fair that evening as their ticket will still be good! If you have any questions feel free to contact me. We’re looking forward to an “Ag-Citing Experience” at the fair!
