Hello 3rd grade parents/guardians,
This letter is to inform you your son/daughter will begin swimming and water safety instruction during school. Iowa state physical education requirements ask for this instruction. This program started six years ago and I’m pleased we are able to do it again. The YMCA will provide the staffing and will follow the SPLASH curriculum. Our P.I.E. program was helpful in supplying the funding for this instruction. The students will need to bring a swimsuit, towel and anything else they may need for the pool. The lessons will take place in five, forty-five minute sessions on the dates listed below. Please put this list of dates somewhere that’s visible daily so your child remembers to have their suit.
